Creating a story is a journey. I think I know where I'm going. I have a map. Yet, I wander off the path. Over and over. I'm 30 pages into my current book. I'm going to keep paddling and see where the characters take me. The main character knows something is off, but so far he hasn't been able to verify what his gut is telling him. And the people around him aren't doing anything to allay that feeling that he might be in danger. He's going to stick it out. He's longed for a change, for an adventure. This isn't going to go as he hoped. What trip ever does?

I've made some updates here on the website, so you can more easily purchase my books from sellers I feel proud to work with. I hope you will visit Tiny Worlds Publishing. It's an independent publishing collective featuring independent authors like me. I've had the pleasure of meeting a group of like-minded writers who want to keep creation a human endeavor. That's important. I do not, and will never, use AI to write. I come up with the ideas and I write everything you read, word by word. Flaws and all. It's important that what I make is real. And forever human.

Chicken Story Time at Poison Ivy House on Substack is nearing 1000 views. As long as people are having fun with it, so will I. I have ideas for a second Substack, and will update as soon as there's something to tell you.

Happy week, all,

Lyndsey
